I strongly agree to this thought. We need discover who are the best employees in all LG subsidiaries in order to keep them inside of the organization. Unfortunately here in Brazil, due to the lack of this feed-back process, we lose very good engineers to other competitors.

Excellent advice, keep in mind that some managers are lousy at expressing appreciation. When you throw this in with cultural differences, one might consider to ask for positive views about their performance, the need for critical chat will come out somewhere in the conversation. I understand the HR update, however the employee should also write down what was said and work needed changes.

Would be nice - wonder how many managers will comply? Ours certainly do not do this - we get feedback once a year when we get evaluated and even then it is changed by upper management with no explanation. If you would require managers to do this - and enforce it - it would make for better environment for all. Here even awards are not announced to your own group. It is disheartening.
