Everytime I read CEO's message, I(being foreigner) feel proud with such a global thought which can turn any unit into a productive one, but at the same time I feel most of members working with LG dont keep thier promise to follow the Top Managemnt agenda, I cannot say about other division or groups but I am sure atleast its not followed in mine, no waste elimination is going on, no time or energy saving etc. These things demotivate me many times and I feel sad that my coworkers doesn't understand the real work culture as guided by our senior most management, At this time of economic turmoil worldover we should strive hard and prove our performance by adapting our CEO's guidelines. I hope upper management takes some steps at ground level.

I think that the CEO’s messages are extremely motivating in our daily job, from a local employee point of view. Still his messages are ignored by FSE’s and soon will be disregarded by local employees because of the lack in execution on the local level

Dear Sirs, whenever in one of all the LG Branches somebody found a new operation mode by waste elemination or other strategies, this CEO´s message is a great possibility to share it with the total company. I also often found some productinformation or other important news on this channel, which I never heard from somebody else. And by the way, it is a regular opportunity to exercise my english. So this regular message gives me support in different ways: knowing LG-Way, informations, news and english lesson. Please continue, as you did before.
I take much appreciation into the comments of our CEO. They are very thought provoking and empowering. I have embraced the power that I carry within to be an intricate part of this company and culture. I feel that the tools he expresses and the wisdom he offers focuses on humanity and evolution of practices and standards. It is important to know the CEO´s philosophy. We are members, and the members need to be together to build only one body to create good ideas! "A leader only accomplishes a leader's function when he shares, the successes are always of the group!" The same happen with the knowledge: share the knowledge and it will be transformed in an idea. Do not look at the other ones, be your part.

I agree it is frustrating - especially when our subsidiary does a Waste Elimination "training" online that is only a much involved powerpoint slide followed by questions - which are answered on the slide!!! Talk about waste!
Yes we do appreciate the CEO message that arrives so often as it shows that we are part of a global company. It is good to be informed of company achievements and happenings through this memo and it is a great for morale and informative to the individual. As far as waste elimination goes though, there is often a lot of talk and our leaders have got the advice, but it does seem as though it does not always get exercised down to ground level. Too much time gets wasted on worrying about small issues when there are a lot bigger issues to contend with.

In Indonesia, many of FSE can not speak english and compelling to work beyond the hours of work that has been determined. Dear LG members, personally I collect some CEO messages and keep them on my desk since I find that most of them are very useful in our day by day work. We must have a clear direction and each time focus in our global target: the CEO messages remember us every day our mission. Even if sometimes local upper managements is not on the same line, we know that company direction is on the right way.

Each time I read the CEO message I wish to see the application of that message. Unfortunately it is not the case and sadly I have to join most of the comments in that sense. I hope that in 2009 all of us contribute and collaborate to make such ideas ans messages become a reality not only words. I hope also more communication between all LG employees in all over the world by commenting and putting down into reality those messages.
8 As all of us maximize our efforts thus LG becomes number one we must opperate all together as a bust with a common target and philosophy. CEO's message is a very good communication way to understand and to be closer with LG philosophy.

I believe the messages are good, and well thought out but with all top down managment, sometimes actions do not take place. We need to think as a company on waste elimination not just in our own department. At times, people are not willing to listen to process improvements because it is not in there best interest for there group but is for the company. We need to be heard at all levels and appreciate what we bring to the company even if its not directed related to one's own unit.

Regarding to CEO message (score=10 ) I understand that CEO is trying to share as much as possible information to all employees of all subsidiary in the wolrd in accordance to "LG Way" to becomes "Great Company, Great People" with the goal is "Global Top 3 by 2010". This time, with subject "Field Manager", I also understand that CEO wish us (employees) to becomes "Field Manager" in different culture environment which means "Professional in each filed". It is other way to mention to "Great People". About CEO theory, i quite understand and accept but to apply in subsidiary, in my opinion, the effec not much because below CEO there are so many managers, BOD, so when this theory came to us it will be modified by individual ideas which made us confusedly.

I really like the CEO messages. I think it does help create the feeling of unity. I like that we worker-bees get a window to see a small bit of of what is normally only shared with the uppermost management. I would like more, or maybe a link to a more complete text. (I do not care for the subtitled videos so much, as you cannot read at your own pace.) I work in a service division and feel that because we are not a profit center, we are often left out of the loop and are included less often in many things.
I agree with nearly all the idea's our CEO has discussed. The idealology is correct but our sub units seem not to follow. We have waste eliminate set up in my location as KPI's. Like the way have executed Six Sigma, this is incorrrect. As mentioned in another comment we are still not one language. We have at times serious communication issues. Who follows up with projects? As I see as well in some of the other survey's the direction our CEO has given us is not followed at the lower unit levels. I am LG proud, I want to be in the top 3 if not at the top but I feel we will not make this goal if we continue to only hear the words of our very capable CEO and not execute his instructions as directed. Still, I will not give up. I choose and will do my part to complete our objectives. One way is to do as we are doing here, giving important feed back.
