Quality as a Top Priority

LG must make significant strides and quickly in the area of software quality. Especially here in the U.S. market for commercial air conditioning, LG is already getting a negative reputation for the poor quality of embedded software for air conditioning equipment. Frequent "on boarding" seems necessary to solve operational issues or improve system performance. We are not meeting customers expectations and frequent visits to customer sites to resolve software issues is costing us significant money and eroding profit potential. The LG name alone will not alleviate the difficulties perceived by the customer if they begin to suspect that we have endemic software issues within our engineer culture.
