At this time of recession, Quality Control Assurance is a must to keep the trust of our customers in our products. We shall keep our quality always excellent, second to none.
Management must not sacrifice quality control to save money during these times - while some downsizing may be necessary, we will lose more by eliminating these departments.
LG TV sets received poor reviews for quality in the current issue of Consumer Reports Magazine in the US, while Samsung received excellent reviews. Consumer Reports Magazine has a huge impact on determining which brand Americans will buy, and many Americans will buy Samsung because of Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports Magazine influences millions of Americans.
LG must put much more effort into quality. LG must also put much more effort into understanding how Consumer Reports Magazine tests TV sets, so that LG products get high ratings in the future.
LGEUS has gone from Incoming Quality Control at the distribution centers to Site Inspection at the factories for TV sets. While this may have some upside, the downside of having the QC person too aligned with the factory management for their jobs or the jobs of other family members may not be in the best interests of LG quality.

Having a Waste Elimation project that reduces quality inspections just to save temp costs seems conterproductive.
