I am a sponser of an African child and am in total agreement to the initiative by LG globally to undertake this offer. My concern is however, that in terms of the recession and waste eliminiation practices that are in place, which are causing major hindrances to growth and staff morale, that internally within LG this venture will not improve staff morale or progress. It would have been more valuable to advertise this marketing (not innovative) venture as being the result of the sacrifices made by LG employees worldwide in the waste elimination process.
A company that turns totally inward will self-destruct. A company that looks outward and helps others will be respected by customers and will grow. This should be explained to employees.

This is a great thing for LG to do and they are setting an excellent example for other companies to follow.
