i am sorry to disagree with you on this subject. we as employees and consumers are very aware of the crises, layoffs, closers, bankrutcies etc. my question is will management listen to the employees suggestions to help survive and grow?????
People must understand that the global economy is very complex. The current economic situation affects LG from many directions. From the parts suppliers, to the distributors, to the Brick and Mortar stores that sell LG products. Many of the (outside, 3rd party) facets of the current LG business model are being hit hard by the economy - this is another factor that people may not consider. Not to mention changing currency exchange rates, increased taxes... the list goes on!
As a result, employees should do their best to help reduce costs so that the company can move forward and get through these hard times as healthy as possible.
It’s understandable this message speaks on behalf of the entire LGE around the world and it’s understandable that not all will take this crises serious ; however it’s tough to (read and agree) from those of us to do realize our situation and it’s serious effect on all of us whom work so hard to see that LGE is successful. Many of us have personally witnessed the after effect of these economic crises, (i.e., layoffs, budget cuts, program losses, find and interpret reduction in business cost, etc) and although many of us have no idea of the overall “exact” impact of this economic crises directly on LGE, the awareness to the fact that we are in a tight situation and that it’s a serious crises, is there.
LG is not laying off employees in Korea. So maybe employees in Korea are not aware of the crisis. But LG has layed off many employees in the US. So in the US we are very aware of the crisis.
As I read the comment LGE members have doubt if the management listen to the employees suggestions to help survive and grow. If I give current status of this issue, in each organization they collect VOE(Voice of Employee)and report employees suggestion and idea to the management. Furthermore, management discuss about the issue regard to employees ideas in the management meeting
Some of the members asked 'what are the reasons of profitability falling?'. Actually, this CEO memssage was delivered from CEO Open Communication during with MC Company leaders. The thing is, MC company profitability has reduced a lot compared to last year profitability. That's why he meant about this message

They will only listen once we are all laid off. Our department is closing.

But what are the reasons of profitability falling? Have they been found out and analyzed?
And what are the key factors of competitors' growth?
